Our Story

You know that feeling when you find a piece of jewelry and immediately want to know who made it?

I kept coming back to that. Some of the most interesting pieces I found were not in obvious places. They came from small studios, often discovered while traveling, where you could meet the designer and understand the work up close.

Trying to recreate that experience online felt different. There was too much to sort through and it was not always clear what was actually worth buying.

Karatly came from wanting to make that process more direct. I started looking for independent jewelers across the U.S. who design and make their own pieces, whose work felt distinct and intentional. The goal was to build a place where you can discover that same kind of work without having to search for it.

If you are here, you are likely looking for something that feels considered. I hope Karatly makes that easier to find.

Our Ethos

We do not carry everything and that’s intentional. Each piece is reviewed for design, craftsmanship, and point of view. If it feels familiar or easily replaced, it does not make it here.

We work with independent jewelers based in the U.S. who design and make their own pieces. This keeps every collection distinct and lets you see exactly who made your piece and where it comes from.

The experience is meant to feel like discovering a designer while traveling, not sorting through pages online. You start with a selection that has already been narrowed with care.

The Experience

There are two ways to move through Karatly.

You can choose from pieces that are ready to ship. These are part of the current selection and available as they are. If you see something you like but want to adjust it, you can send a request and we will guide you on what is possible with the designer.

Or you can create something custom with one of our designers. You start by choosing the designer whose work you connect with, then submit a request. From there, we review it and connect you directly so the piece is developed with clarity from the start.

Both paths begin with the same standard. You are not starting from everything. You are choosing from work that has already been selected for its design, craftsmanship, and point of view.
